Cable organization works better when guiding, grouping, and holding are treated as three different jobs.
Start at the connector
Trace each cable from the device to its power or data source. Keep connectors reachable and avoid sharp bends near either end.
Guide the path
Use a small clip only where a cable needs to change direction or stay within a visible lane. Test adhesive on the surface first.
Group spare length
Make a broad loop and close a reusable wrap without compressing the cable jacket. Keep adapters and power supplies exposed to airflow.
Hold the loose ends
A weighted desktop anchor can keep disconnected cable ends from falling behind the desk without permanently fixing the route.
Reset one cable at a time
Label by memory or color only when it helps. Inspect cable jackets regularly and replace damaged cables rather than organizing around the damage.
